The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce promotes local tourism, supports business, and sponsors many community events in Sag Harbor Village, Noyac, and North Haven.

The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce hosts and sponsors a number of events each year in order to bring attention and notariety to Sag Harbor, with the goal of bringing in visitors and shoppers.  Our events are well attended, and serve both residents and tourists alike.  Our events are designed to enourage participants to walk throughout the business district, and Members are urged to use these events as opportunities to showcase their shops and to bring visitors inside, by the use of creative window displays, as well as promotional sales, discounts, coupons, or any other means necessary.

Some of our Annual Chamber Activities and Events are:

• Easter Bonnet Sidewalk Parade: Stroll by the shops on Main street wearing your favorite Easter Hat
• High School Scholarships: Help support our outstanding graduating Seniors
• Fireworks Fundraising: Helps to raise funds for the Chamber while watching the July 4th Fireworks, sponsored & presented by the Sag Harbor Yacht Club
• Free Summer Concerts at Marine Park: Bring your beach chair, blanket, dinner & friends!!!
• HarborFest Weekend:  A weekend full of activities celebrating Sag Harbor's Maritime & Whaling Heritage
• Halloween Parade & "Pumpkin Trail":  Safe Trick-or-Treating in the Business District
• Golf Tournament: Held at the Noyac Golf & Country Club, and a major fundraiser for the Chamber
• Harvest Sidewalk Sale: Stroll our sidewalks on a beautiful October day and take advantage of great after-season sales!
• Christmas Light-Up & Santa's Visit: See Main Street turn on its Holiday Lights, and have a Visit from Santa

The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce is also affiliated with the Hamptons Visitors Council, a group of Chambers within Southampton Town which sponsors and advertises activities, events, and festivals across the East End, as well as the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission, which promotes tourism for all of Long Island.

The Chamber operates a tourist information center at the Windmill on Long Wharf, which is open and staffed on weekends during the Spring and Fall, and seven days a week during the Summer (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend).  The staff only recommends Chamber Member businesses to the people who visit or inquire there for information.

You get ALOT for your Annual Dues in the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce:

• Membership Voting Rights: While attending Chamber meetings, each member business is allowed one vote in order to help shape our direction.
• Directory & Guide Listing: Members can customize a classified listing in the Chamber's annual Sag Harbor Directory and Guide, which is published each Spring.  We print over 10,000 Guides each year which are aggressively distributed in person, and by mail.  Copies are made available at the Windmill (during the summer months), and by member businesses year-round.  We are also represented at a number of trade, home, and travel shows/expos throughout the year.  We receive many requests by phone, mail and e-mail for Guides to be mailed, and do an annual mailing of our Guide to all Sag Harbor homes, with the goal of having a Sag Harbor Chamber Guide by the telephone of every home in Sag Harbor.  Several pages in the Guide are made available for display ads at additional cost. Please speak with a member of the Directory Committee for specifics and rates for Listings and display ads.
• Website Listing:  Each Member's Directory & Guide listing is displayed in the Member Section of our website.  These Member listings rank very highly with the major search engines, resulting in very successful Internet search results when consumers look online for a Sag Harbor Chamber Member business!
• Website Calendar:  Our website also displays a comprehensive calendar of local events.  Together with the many non-profit events taking place year-round, our calendar is available to display ANY EVENT hosted by a Chamber Member business, such as an open house, special sale, promotional event, or any other event.
• Windmill Promotion:  Each Chamber member is able to display literature about their business (flyers, brochures, business cards, menus, etc.) at our Windmill Information Center.  The Windmill services thousands of visitors each year, and our staff ONLY recommeds Chamber Members.
• Advertising:  The Chamber schedules numerous advertisements throughout the year in both newspapers and radio.  We often create co-op, or group ads, where a number of Members share an ad with the Chamber for less than what the ad might cost the Member by themselves.
• Weekly Chamber Report on WLNG:  Each Wednesday, just before 10am, WLNG 92.1 FM broadcasts the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce Report, where the Chamber lists many of the events sponsored by local non-profit groups as well as Chamber Members.  It is these events that help to bring more visitors to Sag Harbor, and to your shop!
• Monthly Column in the Sag Harbor Express:  Usually the first edition of each month, the Sag Harbor Express prints a column entitled "Chamber Chat," which is written by a Chamber officer for the purpose of promoting the efforts of the Chamber.
• Business-to-Business Discounts:  Chamber Members are encouraged to offer special discounts or promotional rates on products and services to other Chamber Members.  These savings can more than pay for the cost of annual Chamber dues!
• Holiday Lighting & Decorations:  Part of your dues are used to light and decorate the Village Business District during the December Holiday season.  Together with the efforts of the L.V.I.S., the Fire Department, the Knights of Columbus, the Conservative Synagogue of the Hamptons, and others, Sag Harbor is known far and wide as a magical and spectacular place to visit and shop during the holidays!

The Chamber holds regular membership meetings, which are often dinners at local member restaurants.  Aside from updating you on current Chamber activities, these meetings provide an excellent opportunity for networking with colleagues and making business contacts.  Anyone is welcome to attend our dinners, whether a Chamber Member or not. Members are encouraged to bring potential new members with them!  Our dinner meetings are monthly, with the exception of January, February, July and August.

The Chamber's Executive Committee meets separately at least once a month.  If you have questions or concerns, or you'd just like to see what the Chamber Board does for our Members, you are welcome to attend.
