Seniors from the eastern end of Southampton Town are served a hot luncheon daily and enjoy many events and ongoing activites. For many, the center is a "home away from home." Additionally we service local seniors who are homebound, many of whom have no family and few visitors.
New York State, Suffolk County and Southampton Town funds jointly support this facility, and their independent fundraising efforts allow for additional activities such as entertainment, decorations, and social events, as well as occasional treats for our frail elderly housebound folks.

The Suffolk County Office for the Aging is the designated Area Agency on Aging under the Older Americans Act. For the past 25 years, Suffolk County Office for the Aging has administered federal, state and county programs for persons 60 years of age and older.
Specific goals for the Office are to develop a comprehensive service system designed to assist persons 60 years of age and older in maintaining maximum independence and dignity, to remove barriers to economic and personal independence, and to provide a continuum of care for the vulnerable elderly. Most importantly, Suffolk County Office for the Aging acts as advocate on behalf of all Suffolk County senior citizens.
The Office for the Aging also maintains a Mobile Information Van which travels to numerous locations within Suffolk County, specifically for the purpose of helping to disseminate information about the County's senior agencies, programs, and resources for seniors. Look for announcements of visits by the mobil information van in your area.
The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce works hard to promote its members, through our advertising program, sponsored events, and through this website. When you visit any of our member merchants, please be sure to tell them that you heard about them from the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce and it's website. We're sure that they will appreciate knowing that the Chamber sent you to them. Thank you!
