There are neither permits nor fees required to park in Sag Harbor, either residentially or in the Business District itself. You will also not find any parking meters anywhere on the East End of Long Island. There are however time restrictions within the Business District, and other restrictions on residential streets such as against overnight parking, to accommodate street cleaning or snow removal vehicles. These will all be clearly marked with signage. During the extended summer season (May through October), Traffic Control Officers patrol the Business District, marking tires, monitoring time limits, and issuing summons for parking violations.
Main Street & Business District:

Spring Street/Bridge Street Lot:

We also ask that you please respect the Private Parking Lots owned by our businesses for the exclusive use of their own customers and employees, as well as for their tenants who live in upstairs apartments. These private lots do not become public parking areas simply because the business may not be open.
Sag Harbor is in close proximity to several bay and ocean beaches. Residents and visitors alike must show beach stickers for local beaches in order to park there.
Stickers for village's Haven's Beach, off Bay Street, are available at the Sag Harbor Village Office in the Municipal Building on Main Street. Non -resident season passes are available for this bay beach.
Stickers for all East Hampton and Southampton Town Beaches, including Long Beach/Foster's Memorial Beach in Noyac - which is a Southampton Town beach - are available through the Town Office in which the beach is located, or at the attendant's booth in the beach parking lots.
Always bring proof of residency (if applicable) and proper identification
Traffic
Many of the streets in Sag Harbor are narrow, curvy, or both. For that reason, there are a number of residential streets that are One Way, or have parking only on one side. Accordingly, many (if not all) of our neighborhoods have 25mph speed limits.
Miscellaneous
The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce works hard to promote its members, through our advertising program, sponsored events, and through this website. When you visit any of our member merchants, please be sure to tell them that you heard about them from the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce and it's website. We're sure that they will appreciate knowing that the Chamber sent you to them. Thank you!
